What fun we had at the WWHQS on Saturday. Challengers enjoyed a pot luck luncheon, yum, and a fantastic display of quilts using only solid fabrics and 2 1/2 " strips. Every quilt received an award and prize!

Now for our next Challenge.... it will be our 3rd, here are the rules!
If you accept the challenge, you will receive 3 paint chips (3 colors). You can add up to 3 more colors of your choosing. You must match the paint chips to fabrics. The fabrics can be prints, stripes, plaids, dots, whatever... or you may select a solid fabric to match each paint chip and your 3 optional color choices. There is no limit on the number of fabrics you use in your quilt, but you can only use 3-6 colors.
The theme of the challenge is "The Four Seasons". Your quilt can be any size and should focus on your interpretation of the theme. Your only constraint is the colors.
Everyone will get a different set of 3 colors chosen by the WWHQS Staff.
The deadline for finished entries is October 1, 2011. We will have our party in mid October. There will be prizes, fun, food and frivolity. The best part of the event is the "Show & Tell" when the challengers share their techniques and inspirations.
You can have the paint chips mailed to you or you may stop by the shop to pick them up. If you can't make the party, you can bring in your finished entry any time before October 1st to be eligible to win a prize.
